Submissions for the Hospital Build Awards 2010 are now open.
We would like to invite you to nominate your company or organisation for the Hospital Build Awards 2010. Only projects in the Middle East, or those developed and/or funded by organisations in the Middle East can be put forward. Please see below the different categories you can enter:
1. 
Best Hospital Design Award (Built or Future)
This award, open to both completed and planned projects, will be made to an outstanding hospital design scheme that places both patients and the environment at the heart of the project, reflecting the vision and mission of the organisation in the final design.
2. Best Physical Environment Award (Built)
This award, open only to completed projects, is aimed at designers, architects and healthcare facilitiy owners who are able to demonstrate how the design of the built environment of the hospital or healthcare facility has created an outstanding space and is built to enhance the experience felt by patients, staff and visitors through an innovative and considered approach to the physical environment.
3. Best Sustainable Hospital Project Award
This award will be made to an outstanding project that advances sustainable development through design, and is open to both built and planned projects. The winning project will demonstrate outstanding commitment to sustainability in terms of its design, development and construction. In particular, the judges will be looking for the innovative use of new materials, products or construction methods, which will save energy and encourage future efficiency. The project should demonstrate an efficient use of resources, such as energy and water, and use of materials that reduce environmental and health impacts of the facility.
4. Best Healing Environment Award
This award is aimed at recognizing the best all round management of a facility and should be able to demonstrate how a considered approach to the all elements, both physical and human, work together to ensure a strong healing environment. This award will focus on how the facility is managed to deliver the best healing environment through a combination of factors.
5. Best Hospital Building regulations Award
Many governments are taking the initiative to enhance their hospital building standards. The objective is to create a safer environment for the patients. The new standards will improve the execution of the new projects and raise the bar for the accreditation of the hospitals. The new set of regulations should address all aspects of engineering, architectural, civil and fire safety standards.
