This award, open to both completed and planned projects in the Middle East, or those developed and/or funded by organisations in the Middle East, will be made to an outstanding hospital design scheme that places both patients and the environment at the heart of the project, reflecting the vision and mission of the organisation in the final design.
| Entries must provide clear information to highlight how the project meets the following criteria: |

Place making: Creates an inspirational sense of place and a therapeutic environment for patients and visitors both inside and outside the building. |

Innovation: Demonstrates innovation in the model of care and provides an effective staff working environment to support a sense of belonging. |

Adaptability: Provides flexibility and adaptability to meet changing service needs. |
| • |
Vision / Inspiration: Provides reflection on how the idea was inspired. Includes a clear description of the vision and mission of the organization and how it was achieved in the final design. |

This award, open only to completed projects in the Middle East, or those developed and/or funded by organisations in the Middle East, is aimed at designers, architects and healthcare facilities owners who are able to demonstrate how the design of the built environment of the hospital/healthcare facility has created an outstanding space and is built to enhance the experience felt by patients, staff and visitors through an innovative and considered approach to the physical environment.

| Best Sustainable Hospital Project Award |
|

| |
This award will be made to an outstanding project in the Middle East, or a project developed and/or funded by organisations in the Middle East, that advances sustainable development through design, and is open to both built and planned projects. The winning project will demonstrate outstanding commitment to sustainability in terms of its design, development and construction. In particular, the judges will be looking for the innovative use of new materials, products or construction methods, which will save energy and encourage future efficiency. The project should demonstrate an efficient use of resources, such as energy and water, and use of materials that reduce environmental and health impacts of the facility.

This award is aimed at recognizing the best all round management of a facility in the Middle East, or those developed and/or funded by organisations in the Middle East, and should be able to demonstrate how a considered approach to the all elements, both physical and human, work together to ensure a strong healing environment. This award will focus on how the facility is managed to deliver the best healing environment through a combination of factors.

This award is aimed at recognizing the best technology initiative in a new or upgraded healthcare facility. This award will focus on how the facility utilizes a new technology in a various innovative ways that improve the healthcare outcomes, reduce the time spent to diagnose or treat patients, make the experience of the patients more friendly and pleasant. This new technology should also open the door of usage of new ways or trends in dealing with patients to make an overall better patient experience.
