Surgery Management Conference - 4th June 2012 |
|
The UAE is a diverse and multi-cultural country, where many physicians are originally expats and have completed their medical training elsewhere. Many have suffered during the licensing procedure due to the difference between medical certificates and education across countries. The UAE healthcare industry has not yet fully absorbed the foundation of surgical sub-specialization which resulted in difficulty during the registration of foreign surgeons that wish to practice in the UAE . Nevertheless, government authorities are currently seeking the smooth introduction of sub-specialization in the licensing process of surgeons in the country. This introduction will radically affect the surgical departments of hospitals in the country.
