Zulekha Group embarks on expansion plan across GCC
Zulekha Healthcare Group is embarking on expansion drive both in terms of services and increasing bed capacity at its Sharjah branch, said Dr Zulekha Daud, the founder of the group.
“We are planning to expand the services in Zulekha Hospital Sharjah by adding few more Super-specialty services like Cathlab, Dialysis etc in the near future. The hospital is also likely to add 70 additional beds which brings the total bed count to 135 upon completion in 2011.” said Dr Daud.
Zulekha Healthcare Group, is all set to make foray into the Indian market launching a hospital project this year as a part of its international expansion drive.
“We plan to extend our service to India and the new hospital project will start in September 2010 at Nagpur. It will be a 200-bed tertiary care centre with 100-plus doctors. Completion of this project is expected to be in 2012,” she said.
Dr Daud, a visionary behind the group’s growth, said Zulekha Healthcare Group also has plans to launch healthcare projects in other GCC states. However, she didn’t elaborate.
“Today, the Zulekha Healthcare Group has 45 specialties, a team of more than 125 specialist doctors and 300 paramedical staff to show for itself as it embarks on an ambitious expansion plan across the GCC.”
The group is also at the forefront of extending their brand of quality medical care to the residents of UAE through a holistic ‘Corporate Healthcare Cell’.
