Kuwait eyes healthcare tie-ups with Canada
Kuwait is planning to sign agreements with Canadian hospitals and universities as part of its efforts to raise healthcare standards in the Gulf state.
Minister of Health Dr Hilal Al-Sayer, said while in Toronto on an official visit that coordination with Canadian healthcare organisations was already underway and memorandums of understanding would be signed soon.
The agreements would include strategies on developing human resources in the medical field, with a Canadian medical team being invited to help manage Hussein Makki Juma Centre for Specialized Surgeries, he said in comments published by KUNA News Agency.
